Check out this 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee tearing up the snow in this cool offroad video. This reminds me of my childhood. I remember a few times when my Dad cut loose in the car and did something “irresponsible” to the cheers and delight of us kids, before my Mom was like “OMG, WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!!!” Luckily for me and my kid, I’m confident in my irresponsibility and try and take her offroading at least once a week. I feel like the more donuts, drifting, etc. that you can do, the better chance your kid will learn the limits of a vehicle and know the proper counter measures to take if they are ever in a dangerous situation. What’s your thought on that?

Here’s a cool video of a Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ tackling some mud and water with style. The ZJ has a nice suspension lift and the 5.2L V8 sounds awesome. The YouTube channel is actually really cool and is called Cyriac’s Jeep Channel. Cyriac is a Frenchman who just moved to Dubai, so if you want to see some of his newer videos they take place in the sandbox.

This video shows a Jeep Wrangler YJ doing a tug of war against a Grand Cherokee WJ. This can’t be good for the drivetrain of either of these vehicles and at the very least it’s a good way to knock a few thousand miles off the tires but it’s great entertainment none the less! I’m glad someone out there is fighting the real fight for science and answering the question none of us asked – who will win the tug of war between a YJ and a WJ?!?! Let’s watch the video and see!

Check out this awesome twin turbo Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 built by Skip over at Demon Performance. It’s packing a Gen 3 Hemi stroker pushing 420 cubes and twin 72 turbos. This equates to “4 digit horsepower numbers” and consistent 9 .5 second 1/4 mile runs as seen in this video. We can talk about it all day but you are probably already watching the video as you should. Man I love 1320 Video. If you don’t follow them on YouTube, you are missing out. As much as I love Jeeps, I am far from an expert on suspension components, but I hope to do my homework and write a more in-depth article soon to help my fellow noobs understand these crucial Jeep suspensions. Watch this 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Drag Race!

We are all dying to see more 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk videos and I found a few 0-60mph runs from inside the Jeep as well as outside the Jeep, plus a road course video. From these videos you can definitely hear a nice supercharger whine as well as a throaty exhaust system. I can’t wait to see what the Trackhawk sounds like with some headers and a catback exhaust system. The videos below were shot by Patrick Rall at Club Motorsports in New Hampshire.

Patrick said he fastest 0-60mph in the Trackhawk was 3.4 seconds and the slowest was 3.6 seconds. The Trackhawk employs launch control as well as a torque reserve system.

Below you will see the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk on a road course. The driver was asked not to use the paddle shifters because the Trackhawk has automatic downshifts under hard braking.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is being loaned out to automotive journalists left and right and someday someone on Turo will rent me one for about $350 a day. Until that day comes, I’m gonna have to sit on top of my dryer at home with a laptop and headphones and make vroom-vroom noises at the dog.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has the 6.2L Supercharged Hellcat motor pushing 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. A lot of people will have questions about this vehicle and I will list a few below.

Q. Why would anyone need 707 hp?

A. America.

Q. Why wouldn’t you just buy a GTR for the same money?

A. America.

Q. What kind of person buys an $87k Trackhawk anyways?

A. People who love America.

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s watch Motorweek’s video review. A few things to ponder while watching Motorweek. Why is this show so nerdy? Why is the host wearing a dirty pair of drawers under his helmet? Why was there not a single burnout or drag race in a vehicle that is obviously designed to go in a straight line? I know it’s called a Trackhawk but it’s obviously for a drag strip and Draghawk or Striphawk both take my mind to interesting places but not where they are supposed to go.

All that being said, I am very excited about the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. I don’t care that it costs $87,000+, I am just so happy that Jeep is making it but I do wish this motor came in a Compass because that would be silly. We all need weird vehicles that do amazing things. If you’ve never been in a high horsepower vehicle and done a bunch of 0-60 pulls, I highly recommend it. What about y’all? Are you happy going 0-60mph by lunch time? Would you rather spend that kind of scratch on a rear steer Jeep Wrangler?
