That’s right folks, both transmissions offered in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will give you great power delivery and a spirited drive. The 8-Speed automatic is the news here though which should help with better gas mileage and less shifting on hilly surfaces. Plus the new automatic transmission will feature auto-stick , that thing where you shift gears only when it’s a rental car and you’re trying to get your money’s worth or when you are rockcrawling and your friend is flopping around the passenger seat like an idiot and his knee bangs you into neutral and you freak out for a second thinking you broke your Jeep. Right Justin?

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will still have a 4 position transfer case with 2H, 4H, N and 4L unless you opt for the 5 position transfer case which offers 4H Auto and 4H Part Time, essentially allowing you to keep your Jeep in AWD mode.
