2018 Jeep Wrangler Backup Camera
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler has a backup camera which is another modern feature that will be awesome on-road and off-road. The backup camera is located in a very unique place, the center of the spare tire wheel! I think this is very cool because the backup camera is in a safe spot that should see much or any damage on a trail. The bad news I see, however, is what if you go big down the road with some wide wheels and tires? Will there be enough room on the post that the backup camera lives in to support that larger spare and will you still have the same degree of visibility? Time will tell.
The backup camera is built to last, with a strong steel support, so you don’t have to be super delicate when it comes to tire changes. The camera is shrouded in plastic, and the plastic is easily removable with the use of the included tool in the upper Jeep center console.
As I have said before here and will say again, make sure you know what your future plans will be before you purchase expensive options. The last thing you want to do is have to take off nice options to fit the upgrades you want.
